Virginia Shorin-ryu Karate, as taught at OBI Karate school has only one mission, and that is to teach the essence of Okinawan Shorin-ryu Karate to it's students. Sensei Noel Smith teaches his students the same logic and spirit of Okinawan Karate that he learned from Sensei Shugurro Nagazato. This spirit and logic is what sets Okinawan Shorin-ryu Shorikan apart from 'Karate', for that matter it sets OBI Karate School apart as well.
